Opening 8 September
The new Bauhaus Museum Dessau – the second museum dedicated to the design school to open in its centenary year, after the Bauhaus Museum Weimar – will provide a home for the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation’s 49,000-strong collection of objects. Designed by the Spanish firm Addenda Architects, the building is comprised of a towering steel block, encased in a glass facade. The display of the permanent collection picks up the story of the school after its move in 1925 to Dessau, where many of the most well-known Bauhaus buildings are located. Find out more from the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation’s website.
