Named after Curzio Malaparte’s novel of 1949, Tuymans’ first solo exhibition in Italy includes a new site-specific work created for the Palazzo Grassi galleries. This is displayed in the context of his figurative paintings since the mid 1980s, which aim to form, in the artist’s words, an ‘authentic forgery’ of life past and present. Find out more from the Palazzo Grassi’s website.
