Abdullah Al-Turki has been hailed as a ‘great champion of new art’ and is known for the close friendships he has developed with the artists whose work he collects. He is Creative Director of Edge of Arabia – a non-profit platform for contemporary art and creative movements from the Arab World. Based in London, he is building a collection with twin focuses on Middle Eastern art and international contemporary art (including works by Alex Israel and Sterling Ruby). He is also an active patron of institutions, serving – among other boards – on Tate’s Middle East and North Africa Acquisition Committee.
