Patricia Rubin is professor emerita of fine arts at the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, and an honorary fellow of the Courtauld Institute of Art. Her most recent book is Seen from Behind: Perspectives on the Male Body and Renaissance Art (Yale, 2018).
