This week’s Apollo Art Diary highlights new museums that are scheduled to open later this year.
Housed within the grand circular building of the former Parisian stock exchange – the conversion of which has been overseen by the architect Tadao Ando – this latest outpost in François Pinault’s network of museums will host some 15 exhibitions every year, drawn from his vast collection of contemporary art. Pinault’s plans for a private museum in Paris have been in the offing for two decades; costs are believed to have run to some €160m. The new museum will open as soon as French coronavirus restrictions are lifted. Find out more from the Bourse de Commerce’s website.
