This week’s Art Diary marks the beginning of the Edinburgh Art Festival 2022 with our pick of highlights from the programme
Talbot Rice Gallery presents the London-based artist’s first major survey (until 1 October), including recent additions to the the artist’s ongoing Zanzibar (2018-ongoing) series which takes inspiration from the works of the Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi. Sun shades, rocks and smaller models transform the gallery space into a tropical environment while After Work (2022), a collaborative project by Condorelli, the filmmaker Ben Rivers and the poet Jay Bernard, reflects on the playground which Condorelli was commissioned to build for the Elmington Estate in South London as part of the ongoing project between gallery spaces and local communities. Other highlights include the artist’s animated installation Thinking Through Skin (2021), which considers the process of image production. Find out more on Talbot Rice’s website
