Making it new – this week’s Apollo Art Diary features four fresh shows from interesting international galleries to look out for in March.

Running in tandem with a retrospective at the Kunstmuseum Bern, this display at the Kunsthalle Bern (26 February–15 May) features the influential Swiss painter’s more recent work, including his forays into furniture design, alongside major paintings from the 1960s and ’70s, among them his characteristically crisp still lifes.
