Jorge Coll is the CEO of Colnaghi, which is one of the world’s longest-running commercial galleries – it was founded in 1760 – and remains a standard-bearer in the dealing and exhibition of Old Master works. It is recognised for the breadth and depth of its scholarship and for its imaginative collaborations with other dealers. Recent displays include, in London, an ambitious survey that spanned the ancient Etruscans and Pablo Picasso, and in New York a partnership with Carlo Bella that placed historic African sculptures alongside European portraits. Raised in Barcelona, Coll began his career working for his family’s art dealing business before founding Coll & Cortés with Nicolás Cortés in Madrid in 2005, which focused on Italian, Spanish and Latin American Old Master paintings and sculpture. In 2015 the gallery merged with Colnaghi, which now has spaces in London, New York, Brussels and Madrid, and recently announced the opening of a new space in Riyadh.
