‘I like any piece that asks a question,’ Moisés Cosio has said. The film producer may only have been collecting for a decade, but he has already acquired works by conceptual heavyweights such as Piero Manzoni and Július Koller and leading contemporary figures including Gabriel Orozco, Francis Alÿs and Adrián Villar Rojas. In 2011, Cosio founded Alumnos 47, a foundation based in Mexico City that promotes contemporary art education and research – including through a mobile library of contemporary art books. He sits on the boards of the Tamayo Museum and MUAC.
