The Genius of Persian Calligraphy

The calligraphic script nasta’liq was developed in Iran in the 14th century, and quickly emerged as an expressive and refined art-form in its own right. This exhibition displays manuscripts from around 1400–1600, and celebrates some of the master calligraphers who explored the script’s visual potential.
