Suela Cennet

Previously a director at Galerie Templon in Paris, working with artists including Jim Dine, Joel Shapiro and Kehinde Wiley, Turkish-French gallerist Suela Cennet established the Pill in 2016. Housed in a former generator factory in Istanbul, the Pill focuses on representing artists with an interest in displacement, feminism and queer aesthetics. In the autumn of 2024, the Pill opened a second gallery in Paris, a stone’s throw from the Louvre, inaugurating the 300 sqm premises with a solo show by the French painter Apolonia Sokol, a figurative painter whose off-kilter portraits have also been shown in museums across Europe and the United States. The gallery will be celebrating its tenth anniversary in January.
