For the latest edition of Dallas Museum of Art’s Concourse mural series, Tiffany Chung is filling the space with an exhibition about stories of migration, particularly those within Dallas itself (4 August–3 August 2025). Rise Into the Atmosphere was created by the Vietnamese-American artist in collaboration with 28 international artists – many of whom have been refugees themselves. The exhibition is divided in two: the first, Composition X (2022), is an audio installation produced with composer Isaac Hernández, which features soundscapes and poetry readings. The second, Poetic Landscapes Remembered (2022), is the result of translating the audio from Composition X into a landscape of pattern and texture, created using 3D animation software.
