This wide-ranging exhibition looks at the subject of food in American art, and the various ways it has been used symbolically to reveal society’s changing attitudes and social mores. Paintings, sculptures and decorative arts are exhibited alongside period ephemera such as cookbooks and menus. There’s bound to be something for all tastes: exhibits range from the sumptuous visual feasts of antebellum America, to contemporary pop.
