Bill Morrison has built his career out of old, often forgotten, films. The artist recombines selections of archival footage to create new choreographies, which he often sets to specially commissioned scores. This exhibition looks back over more than two decades of the artist’s poetic work.
A separate display of the artist’s short, single-channel films, ‘Bill Morrison: Recompositions’, will open in conjunction with this exhibition in the Ronald S. and Jo Carole Lauder Building Lobby.
