Royal Artist of the Enlightenment
This exhibition celebrates one of the most celebrated artists of 18th-century France, sculptor and draftsman Edme Bouchardon. Talent and ambition are evident in early works such as The Sleeping Faun, a copy of a renowned classical sculpture that Bouchardon made as a student. Now on display in the museum’s Entrance Hall, The Sleeping Faun offers a preview of the captivating masterpieces included in the museum’s exhibition. Find out more about the ‘Bouchardon’ exhibition from the Getty Center’s website.
