Josef Koudelka: Nationality Doubtful

J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles

NOW CLOSED

Koudelka is best known for his photographs of Czechoslovakia during the Warsaw Pact invasion of 1968, which forced the artist’s exile from the country. This retrospective – the first US museum show devoted to the photographer since 1988 – celebrates his work, from his early images of Roma settlements to more recent large-scale panoramas.
