As regular readers will know, Hilton – who describes her as yet un-exhibited artistic efforts as ‘Warhol-esque of now’ – is something of a cultural pioneer. So it is that her flash of inspiration, all those years ago, is about to be institutionalised – with a pop-up ‘Museum of Selfies’ opening in Glendale, California.
According to its Twitter account, the ‘museum’ will feature ‘hands-on installations that examine the 40,000 year history, science, art and culture of self representation’. And, says a report in TimeOut, visitors will be treated to exhibits including ‘an Iron Throne made of selfie sticks’ and a display dedicated to the ‘food selfie’. Ahem. Or, as one Twitter user had it:
