Case Studies are projects that connect the exhibition’s framework with the research, documentation and analysis of the work of key artists in the last century.
“Case Studies. Grete Stern” will allow spectators to appreciate the wealth of her work through the pieces in the IVAM’s Collection, in which “Dreams” will be of great importance as they perfectly summarise Grete Stern’s artistic and personal approaches.
This series, which in the beginning was a commissioned work, in time became a collection which represents her ideas, in which Grete combined her thinking and her social preoccupation using photography as a means of expression in which she presents her problems, her aspirations, her controversies… A radical stance as a woman and as a photographer.
