Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs

Tate Modern, London

NOW CLOSED

A giant of modern art, Matisse was a painter, draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor. This landmark show explores his final period, bringing together for the first time the cut-outs he produced towards the end of his life. The 120 works were made between 1936 and 1954, and include The Snail (pictured; 1953 © Succession Henri Matisse/DACS 2013).
