Sotheby’s is gearing up for its summer sales with an exhibition of its most exceptional lots. ‘Summer at Sotheby’s’ showcases over 60 works of art, with a special display of 10 items (below) selected to offer a ‘whirlwind art historical tour’ and demonstrate the depth and quality of works on the market today. Exhibits range from an antique Roman sculpture of Aphrodite to Andy Warhol’s multicoloured screenprints of modern icon Marilyn Monroe. The public can enjoy the spectacle until Sunday: click on any image to open the slideshow.
‘Summer at Sotheby’s, Magnificent Works’ is at Sotheby’s, London, until 15 June.
